Q. What should I look for when I hire a carpet or furniture cleaner?
A. One of the most important aspects is the experience level of the company AND the technician who will actually be doing the cleaning. An experienced technician will listen to your concerns and will recommend and follow through with proper cleaning procedures. Understand ALL fees before allowing someone to begin spotting or cleaning your carpet and furniture. Avoid those who sell the “extras” at point of purchase. Ask who will be doing the actual cleaning; the company hired or a subcontractor.

Q. How is sanding different from cleaning and refinishing my floors?
A. Sanding removes the finish and some wood requiring a process that will take far longer to accomplish, with greater cost and dusty clean up for you. Hayward's process of cleaning and refinishing is odorless, normally taking just one day, and will not remove the finish nor cause dust. We will thoroughly deep clean your floors with automatic cleaning machines and an odorless, water base Citrus cleaner, without removing any wood because WE DO NOT SAND. All materials used are environmentally friendly and non-toxic. When cleaned, rinsed and dried, we apply a water base Poly Urethane finish to the wood that will dry in approximately 45 to 60 minutes, returning the wood to a beautiful finish.

Q. How frequently should I have my carpeting, rugs or upholstery cleaned?
A. Proper maintenance of your investment is always best. Each area in your home or office receives differing amounts of wear. Regular maintenance, including vacuuming and the prompt removal of spills and stains, increases the life of your investment. Leaving spilled materials in the carpet, rug or fabric makes the removal more difficult. Using the wrong spotting material, or using a spotting solution improperly, may also set the stain.

Q. How safe are the cleaning and refinishing materials and how long will the finish last?
A. We use only environmentally safe, non-toxic, non-allergenic products with a very low odor. After preparing your hardwood floors by cleaning with our exclusive NO SAND PREP process, we rinse and dry all surfaces. We then apply a water base Poly Urethane in satin, semi gloss or high gloss finish, drying in approximately 60 minutes, returning your wood to a beautiful lustre. Our finish contains 35% hard particulates, an extremely durable finish lasting 12 -15+ years if properly maintained.
